These are a few of Carolyn's favorite things

Favorite TV Show: Yo Gabba Gabba
Runners up: Caillou, Wonder Pets (Kristen hates the former, I hate the latter.)

Favorite Movie: The Incredibles
Runner up: The Lion King

Favorite Literary Character: Eloise

Favorite Songs: I have to make a list for this category. In fact, I did make a list, and then I created a mix CD from that list that we now listen to in the car with Carolyn. Well, that she demands to listen to in the car, on account of it containing her favorite songs. So, here they are in no particular order, along with the song titles as Carolyn knows them where applicable.

  1. "Silver Lining" by Rilo Kiley ("The Song From When I Was In Mommy's Belly." We've told her that this was the song that was playing when she was born, you see.)
  2. "Bang Pop" by Free Energy
  3. "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People (Either "Abracadabra" or "Humpback Whale". She has misheard "pumped up kicks" as "humpback whale". The abracadabra one I can't really explain.)
  4. "Now" by Mates of State ("Now Now Now")
  5. "The Re-Arranger" by Mates of State (Used to be "Doo-inj doo-inj" which was her interpretation of "re-arranger" but now she actually uses the song title proper.)
  6. "Airplanes" by Local Natives ("I Want You Back", not to be confused with the Jackson 5 hit.)
  7. "Someone's Missing" by MGMT
  8. "1234" by Feist
  9. "He Doesn't Know Why" by Fleet Foxes ("Penniless and Tired", the first three words of the song.)
  10. "Chinese Translation" by M. Ward ("Wild Wild Sea", also prominent words in the song.)
  11. "Butterfly" by Weezer
These last three make up the nightly setlist that I sing when I put Carolyn to sleep.

Favorite Toy: Her baby doll, named Baby.
Favorite Foods: Hot dogs, mac and cheese, pasta, rice, corn, lollipops, fruit snacks, "daddy" yogurt (especially vanilla), string cheese, raisins
Favorite Drinks: Strawberry milk, juice boxes
Favorite Activity: Anything where she can collect lots of little things (such as balls, buttons, scraps of paper, toy animals, etc.), arrange them, put them into a container, take them out of the container, rearrange them, hand them out as rewards, and repeat ad infinitum.
