Counting!

Earlier today Carolyn and I were playing with some sea shells - taking them out of a container, putting them into a container, taking them out of a container, putting them into a container, etc. - and, as I typically will do with her, I started counting. Nice and slowly, I said, "One... two... three... four..." and all of a sudden, Carolyn chimes in with "Bive!" then "Sesh!" then I said, "Seven", then she added "Eeet!" and "Nine!" and "Din!"

I could not believe it! She has said "Doo!" in the past (that's "two" in case you hadn't picked up on it), but this is the first time she's said a string of numbers all in a row, and she went and skipped over one through four. (On subsequent repetitions of counting to ten she did either repeat or preempt me in reciting all of the numbers except one and seven.)

Potty and counting both in one week. Next week: first novel?
