Month in Review: Carolyn's seventh month

It was brought to my attention that I didn't post a month in review on the 23rd. Sorry. So here it is a few days late...

Lots of new stuff this month:

  • Spent Thanksgiving with dad while mom was working
  • Grabs and chews
  • Drops stuff
  • Sits up and rolls over
  • Visited with Santa, with predictable end results
  • Puts her arms out and reaches for people when she wants to be held
  • Can say "mama" but really only in the middle of the night when I go in to get her and she doesn't want me... also said "dada" once but I wasn't even there... still waiting on an official first word
  • Does pretty well standing up while holding onto stuff, though still requires someone right behind her in case she flops over
  • Gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth (see photo above), but no crawling yet

Merry Christmas!

This is our Christmas card for this year, designed entirely by yours truly. Happy holidays everyone. We've got video from Carolyn's first Christmas coming soon.

Carolyn meets Santa

We took Carolyn to sit on Santa's lap at the mall yesterday. At first she was really curious as to who this grizzled, hairy man in the red suit was. And then he looked at her...

... and that was about the end of that. But at least she didn't scream immediately (which is what we expected her to do). A few more pictures of Carolyn in her I Love Santa outfit...

Adorable, right?
